Contestant Specific Information:
Pick up the 2007 Dawn Look-A-Like Contest ENTRY FORM at the Con, from the Special Events & Registration table, located in front of the Centennial Ballroom in the Hyatt, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The people running the contest will be at the table during that time to answer your questions. If it's a tech question, tell registration to ask for Cat, who is in charge of backstage.
VERY IMPORTANT - Audio accompaniment needs to be in CD FORM ONLY & PLEASE have it clearly labeled to make it easy for the backstage techs.
(Side note for 2007: We are waiting to hear back about whether there will be any forms available in advance, or whether contestants with audio accompaniment will need to fill out a second, audio/tech direction sheet, like last year.)
All contestants are required to turn in their forms to the registration table by 5:00 PM on Saturday.
ALL contestants must be in the set-up area by 7:30 PM Saturday night, but getting there at 7 is smarter. Earlier=better, in terms of getting where you need to be.
In the set-up area, you will be given a number and put in order. After you are numbered, you will have your picture taken.
The format of the show is simple; you go up on stage, do your thing, come off stage and go back to the set-up area. Please remember your number and try to stay in some sort of order.
After the awarding of prizes, the winners will have their photos taken with Joe Linsner and the emcee(s).
Important: Make sure to pick up your Contest After-Party invitation backstage from either Cyndee, Zeke or Greg. It is at the after-party that you will receive your exclusive Dawn 2007 10th Anniversary Contest Print, which was created exclusively for contest participants. All contest participants get to bring themselves & a guest.
This contest is a good time for everyone; don't stress out too much about it.
A note to potential entrants: About this contest: you don't have to have a perfect "10" body, or even red hair, to do this. If you're a Dawn fan, then you already have a decent idea what she's about - the Goddess. Combine that attitude with some elements of Dawn costume-wise, then come on down to Atlanta and strut your stuff!
