What is Dawn: Lucifer's Halo about?
IN A NUTSHELL: Dawn, the Goddess of birth and rebirth, helps a young warrior recognize his place between Heaven and Hell as an incarnation of her lover, Cernunnos, the Horned God.

OUR STORY: Ahura Mazda, the lord of Heaven, having banished the angel Lucifer to Hell, now wants Lucifer?s halo back. He recruits Dawn, a neutral deity, to act as a go-between and descend into Hell. Lucifer, once Ahura Mazda?s most devoted servant, gives up the halo without a fight.

Instead of returning the halo to Heaven, Dawn brings it to a post-apocalyptic New York, where swords are used instead of guns. She seduces a wayward warrior, Darrian Ashoka, and gives him the halo. Instantly, the forces of both Heaven & Hell descend upon Darrian. Both Heaven and Hell want the halo back, and are willing to go to war over it. To his surprise, Darrian is able to fight them all off.

After Darrian kills dozens of angels and demons all across the city, Dawn reappears. She tells him that he is an incarnation of Cernunnos, the Horned God. The power of all the gods are within him, she says, all he needs to do is realize it. They spend the night together. In the morning, Darrian realizes that he must finish this journey alone. He leaves Dawn, knowing that they will someday meet again, but not anytime soon.

Prepared for the worst, Darrian reaches within himself and summons the lord of Heaven and the master of Hell. They appear and start bickering, but neither one of them tries to take the halo from Darrian. They cannot. He shatters the halo, breaking the last connection between Heaven and Hell. Ahura Mazda and Lucifer withdraw to their respective realms.

Darrian leaves New York to explore the world and see it with new eyes.
